… and welcome to my blog!
I am absolutely thrilled to finally start writing and sharing after being solely on Instagram for the last 4 years. I’ve gotten to know so many of you via the ‘gram, and have a made good handful of lifelong friends that I slowly decided to share more and more about who I really am beyond the ring selfies. For that, I thank you. This journey started out only as an outlet for me to share the gratuitous pictures I would take whenever the lighting was jussssttttt right (usually somewhere in the car), and has turned into so much more.
The start of this something new is perfectly aligned with the spring season, when mother nature also decides to reset and start anew and bring us beautiful blooms after months of gloominess. And since this has been my first winter in the north (well, Northern California), I appreciate it that much more.
In Japan, cherry blossoms symbolize the beauty versus fragility of life.
Cherry blossom trees bloom every spring and bring so much beauty to their environment, and yet, they bloom for just a short time period before the blooms wilt, fall, or get blown away. They’re a charming visual reminder for us every spring to seize the moment, because life is short. Carpe diem. Life is too short to wonder what-ifs and hide in the comfortable. So eat that macaron. Buy that bauble. Dye your hair blue. Start a blog. Do whatever it is that you have been wanting to do and holding back, and just go for it.
